Teaching Role


* I provided an in-service to fellow classmates recently on an assessment.

* I was a teacher's aide summer 2003 and 2004 at a special education school in Glenview, Illinois.

* I was a teacher's assistant at University of Illinois Champaign- Urbana fall 2003.

* I tutored children summer 2001 and 2002 in reading and math in Belleville, Illinois.


* ABA therapist for children on the autism spectrum.


Group Role




o Culture project: in a group of 3, we explored a culture -- Colombia was our culture.

o Occupational interviews: in a group of 3, we interviewed 3 different people of varying ages about their occupations to determine trends that occur in occupations over the aging process

o FOR/MOP assignment: in a group of 3, we researched a frame of reference and prepared a handout for the class--Our FOR was Social Ecological Development Model

o Issues project: in a group of 5, we researched all sides of an issue to determine our views and then present both sides to the class--It was "Are the needs of foster care children being met?"

o ISTE: in a group of 2, we prepared a presentation to teach the class an assessment--It was- The Family Inventory of Resources for Management (FIRM).

o Practice based Learning course- exploring several cases during the course of treatment.
